On Friday we packed up and headed 3 hours west to Grand Rapids to spend the weekend with our good friends Hannah and Dave. The studio that Hannah teaches at had a Christian dance company doing a performance on fri night, so B and G dropped me off and they headed to the house to spend time with Dave and Lily. Saturday morning we headed to the beach, where we spent most of the day. Lake Michigan was COLD but beautiful! the girls had a blast playing. Natalie from our church also was with us (she had taken master classes with the dance company and then stayed for the show) she is from south Dakota and had never been to lake Michigan in the 4 years shes live here, and like we where last year taken aback by the beauty.
On Sunday we headed out to the Frederik mejer sculpture Garden. Mejer is food super store chain ( based out of GR) and guess the tycoon loves his art! there is once piece called the American horse. a model that was started by Da Vinci, lost and latter finished by some other dude. (sorry art buffs that all I remember) way cool.
Gracen isn't the only tried one from our fab weekend!!
