Haley's Baby Shower!!

                                                                      It's a boy!!!
Or will be! My best friend of 15 years (half my life...gulp!!) Haley and her husband Matt are looking forward to the aviaval of their first child on Dec 6th!!! ( I want him to be a day late so he and G can share their Bday!! how fun!?!)

We arrived in Chicago on Saturday afternoon just in time to pick up my parents at union station and drop them and G off at the (scary) hotel! (I brought my own sheets and had no hot water in the shower....lovely!!)

Then B helped me drop off suff at Haley's Friend Liz's Place where the shower was being held. (She was a bride's maid too... over 3 years ago!) Then off to Hail's and Matt's for dinner. Matt's Sister, Niece and great nephew where staying with them...that makes Matt sound really old doesn't it!! LOL!

After a lovely night's rest (eye roll!) I was over early to help Liz pick up the yummy food and set up!! It was a wonderful shower and was so fun to meet  more of Haley's friends in Chicago!

After gettin back to Haley's place (where my Dad, B and G where hanging out/ watching Vikings game/ napping) we got all packed up and drove back to Mich. We got home around midnight and all slepted into (over slept!) till 830!!!! It's my Mom's Birthday today!! :) so we drove to Birmingham to see her childhood home and stop by the yummy cupcake station!!!

Since Haley's mom couldn't  come for the shower, my mom was pleased to step in as "Grandma"!!!

Not sure who Halfy is either! lol!! but the cake was so yummy!!  It's From Haley's favorite bakery!! When unloading the car the cake almost broke after dropping it, we where just thankful that it was in one piece....even if it looks like the party is for HALfY!!

        
  Liz has a BEAUTIFUL place in the Lincon park area and was kind enough to open her home for the party!

Gracen made a guest appearance when Brandon droped off my Mom and went to Starbucks to get coffee for the party. She had lots of fun playing with the balloons, cookies and confetti. But her favorite part was when a guest arrived at the house and she got to help Liz buzz in the guests!! Such a city girl!

The baby MIGHT be a cubs fan.......

                                       But NO doubtt that he WILL be a HUGE Vikings fan!!!!

Hail and (Matt's) niece and her son Jordon. Jordan makes Haley a GREAT aunt! (That makes her feel old but, she'll only be 29+ 2 this November!! )

When I was making the diaper "cake" for Haley last week, G was "helping" and I told her that this gift was for  Miss Haley and the baby in her tummy. to which G replied "baby Lulu?" (Lulu is Haley and Matt's Dog!!) So with all this talk of baby's in tummies G put Kitty in her dress and announced she Kitty was in her tummy then a few minuets latter she showed us Kitty was out!! Lovely!



OOH!! aren't they cute!?? Proud parents to be!!! We are so very happy for you both!!! Congrats!!
